Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a boaters license?

No, you do not! 

Our boats come with a licensed captain to ensure a stress-free day on the water! 

We are here to make the best experience possible for you and your group.

Do I have to pay for gas?

No, gas is included in your booking; the only additional items you would have to pay on top of our base rate are any add-ons you'd like us to include.

Should I tip my captain?

Your captain is dedicated to ensuring you have an exceptional experience. 

Tips are greatly appreciated, and you're welcome to tip either before or after your day on the lake!

 

What should we bring onboard?

  

Bring all the positivity! 

Our goal is to ensure you have an absolute blast. 

To make this happen, keep in mind: 

  • Sunscreen (please, no aerosols!)
  • Water and drinks for the cooler, no hard liquor or red drink (Red wine, Gatorade)
  • Boat-friendly snacks, cups, plates, and utensils 
  • Towels 
  • Warm clothes for cooler days
  • Sunglasses
  • Cash or credit cards (for waterfront dining and the Mooey Buoy)
  • Phone Chargers
  • Printed and signed waivers

Can you cater for us?

Yes! We can arrange boat-friendly snacks or pick up food from lakefront restaurants during your charter! 

What shouldn't we bring onboard?

Please, no snacks that may leave crumbs or residue (cheese balls, red wine)


Shoes, please remove all footwear before boarding. We can store them on the boat if you wish to bring them.


Coolers, we will provide a cooler with ice for you to load!


Non-essential items, we are limited on storage space with our essentials for safety and fun.


Spray sunscreens, please bring lotion and apply before boarding.

Cigars and Cigarettes, there is no smoking on our boats; we can arrange stops to accommodate. 


Is there a restroom onboard?

No, there is not. Your captain will be happy to take you to the closest facility.

Can we fish?

Our boats are not designed for fishing, so we do not allow fishing at this time.

Rules:

 

  1. Everyone will need to sign a waiver. If under age 18, a parent or guardian must sign.
  2. One adult 18+ must book the trip and be present for the entire trip
  3. All passengers under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket while the boat is under way.
  4. Passengers who cannot swim are not permitted to partake in water sports and must always wear a life jacket.
  5. No smoking onboard– we can arrange to make stops as needed.
  6. No animals.
  7. BYOB Food & Drinks.
  8. Alcohol is allowed for those 21+ remember, no red wine.

Booking Policies:

Full payment is due at booking. 

In the event you need to cancel or change your reservation see below:

  • 30+ days out–rebook or 100% refund/credit.
  • Between 14-30 days out – rebook or 90% refund/credit.
  • No rebook less than 14 days out.
  • 7–14 days out–80% refund/credit.
  • Between 3-7 days  out – 75% refund/credit
  • 3 days out – 50% refund/credit
  • Holiday dates are nonrefundable
  • If your captain must cancel you will receive 100% refund/credit or reschedule
  • Holiday Options:
    • Memorial Day 
    • Father’s Day 
    • July 4th
    • Labor Day


Inclement Weather Policies:

We operate rain or shine. Our recommendation is to attend the charter unless you hear from your captain on the day of deeming unsafe conditions. 

If you don’t show up after 30 minutes past the start time of your booking, the trip will be considered a no-show, and no refunds or credits will be issued. If your charter length is shortened, you’ll be offered a gift card equal to the hourly rate you booked for the remaining time. This only applies to weather deemed unsafe by your captain.

Running late?

 

Give us a heads up! Communication is important.

  • If your group does not arrive within 30 minutes of your appointment start time and we haven’t heard from you, it will be considered a no-show and no refunds/credits will be given.
  • If part of your party has arrived within 30 minutes of the scheduled time and checked in with the captain on site, your captain will wait for the remaining part of the group. 
  • The reservation end time will remain the same.

We are having a blast and would like to extend!

Talk to your captain! If you’d like to extend your charter and our schedule allows, the hourly rate will be charged to your card on file. 

All extensions will be charged to the closest 1/2 hour when arriving back to your drop off point.
